Semi-desert area of Samburu, Mt. Kenya Africa’s 2nd highest mountain on the equator, rift valley lakes of Lake Nakuru with flamingoes, hippos at Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara, with the highest concentration of game in Africa.

Day 1

Depart Nairobi early in the morning by road to Samburu National Reserve arriving at the Samburu Serena Safari Lodge at midday in time for lunch. Samburu Serena Safari Lodge is situated on the fertile banks of Uaso Nyiro River in the middle of Samburu Game Reserve in Kenya’s rugged, semi-arid Northern Province. The lodge echoes the robust rhythms of riverfront life where crocodiles feed in full view. After lunch at Samburu Serena Safari Lodge game drive until sunset in the reserve where the large stock of antelopes has attracted many lions and leopards. The Reticulated Giraffe and Grevy Zebra, rather rare in other parks, are here quite common, as well as the long necked Gerenuk. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day 2

Morning game drives with breakfast at the Lodge in search of wildlife and birds in wild beauty of Samburu land. After lunch at the lodge game drive until sunset in Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day 3

After breakfast at the lodge, check-out and continue to Mount Kenya National Park arriving at the lodge at midday in time for lunch. Located at 7200 FT (2195M) on the slopes of the snow-capped Mt. Kenya, Serena Mountain Lodge is the most luxurious tree lodge in Kenya. At dusk, the dense tropical rainforest comes alive with myriad sounds of creatures of various descriptions. The elephant, rhino, several species of antelopes including the bongo and occasionally, both leopard and the lion are visitors at the illuminated waterhole. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is world famous for its stunning flocks of lesser flamingoes which turns its shores pink. Its birdlife is world renowned. On arrival in the park, have a game drive en-route to Lake Nakuru Lodge, which is situated in the southeast ecological niche of the Lake Nakuru National Park. The lodge blends well with its surroundings and the animals often browse peacefully close to the gardens. After lunch at the lodge proceed for the afternoon game drive around the lake until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5

Have an early morning game drive in search of leopard and rhino returning to the lodge for breakfast. Check-out after breakfast and continue to Lake Naivasha Bird Sanctuary arriving at Lake Naivasha Country Club at midday for lunch. Lake Naivasha Country Club, cited in 55 acres of lakeside gardens, began life in the 1930’s as papyrus thatched chalets. Lake Naivasha is one of the Great Rift Valley’s jewels, reflecting the tranquil beauty of an African sky and the surrounding mountains, is temporarily distorted as flocks of graceful flamingos and pink-backed pelicans settle on the water. Relax after lunch at the hotel and have a chance to enjoy the hotel facilities and optional activities on offer. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Country Club.

Day 6

Depart after early breakfast and continue to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving at Siana Springs Tented Camp at midday in time for lunch. Fringed by marshes and surrounded by ghostly Fever Trees, Siana Springs is situated on the eastern edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve perfectly recapturing the romance of the early pioneers. Later proceed for the afternoon game drive until sunset in search of the Big Five. Dinner and overnight at Siana Springs Tented Camp.

Day 7

Full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives across the plains and close encounter with elephants, lion, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, African birds, hippo, crocodile, vultures, African birds of prey, wildebeest, hyena. Full board at Siana Springs Tented Camp.

Day 8

Have an early morning game drive returning for breakfast at Siana Springs Tented Camp. After breakfast, check-out from the camp and depart by road back to Nairobi.
