Khasab: Half-Day Mountain Safari

• After being collected from your Khasab accommodation or cruise ship terminal, you will depart town to embark on your 4-hour mountain tour. You will first drive to the Jebel Harim, or “Mountain of Woman”, the highest mountain among the mountains able to be toured in the area.

  The drive offers a great chance for unparalleled panoramic views as it winds its way through the mountain and valleys. On your way, you can visit the Sayh Plateau, which sits at 1,100 meters above sea level. Once perched atop this plateau, you will have a marvelous view towards Dibba and the neighboring canyon at 1,600 meters above sea level. In addition, you will be able to view a wall of fossils, which dates back millions of years to pre-historic times.

  Afterwards, you will pass by Khor Najid on your way back where you will see the Fjord and the Gulf of Oman. Toward the end of your tour, you will visit Bait Ul Kufal, a centuries old stone house, and Birkat al-Khaldiyah which is a fertile natural park. Your journey will cover almost 40 kilometers round trip, and you will be dropped back to your point of origin at the conclusion of the tour.
