Description

Overview

Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba are at the doorstep of the remote region of nomadic tribes of the Northern Frontier Province. In this rugged and dry country, the Ewaso River and its tributaries display their green meanders of riverine forest.

Day 1

Depart Nairobi Wilson airport early morning by scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve. On arrival at the airstrip, you are met and transferred to Samburu Serena Lodge. Samburu Serena Safari Lodge is situated on the fertile banks of Uaso Nyiro River in the middle of Samburu Game Reserve in Kenya’s rugged, semi-arid Northern Province. The Samburu Serena Lodge echoes the robust rhythms of riverfront life where crocodiles feed in full view of visitors. After lunch take a game drive until sunset in Samburu National Reserve where the large stock of antelopes attracts many lions and leopards. Also get to see the Reticulated Giraffes and Grevy Zebras, rather rare in other parks, are here quite common, as well as the long necked Gerenuk. Dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Serena Lodge or any of the various campsites.

Day 2

After breakfast take a morning game drive in search of wildlife and birds in the wild beauty of Samburu land. After lunch at the Samburu Serena Lodge or campsite take a game drive until sunset in Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba. Dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Serena Lodge or any of the various campsites.

Day 3
