Your safari begins at 06:30hrs with a pick-up from your Mombasa hotel or the airport. After a short briefing, you will drive along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway toward Tsavo East, arriving at the Bachuma Gate at around 09:00hrs. Upon entering the park, you will begin your first game drive as you head toward your lodge. Start looking for elephants, zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species. You will arrive at the lodge at around 12:30hrs for check-in and lunch, followed by a short rest. At 15:30hrs, you will head out for your afternoon game drive when the heat softens and animals become active again. This is a great time to look for lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, and the famous red elephants of Tsavo. You will return to your lodge at around 18:30hrs for dinner and overnight. Your second safari day begins early with breakfast at 06:30hrs, after which you will depart for a full-day game drive at 07:00hrs. Today, you will explore deeper parts of Tsavo East, carrying along a picnic lunch packed by the lodge, allowing you to spend the entire day inside the park without returning to the lodge at midday. This gives you more time to explore wildlife-rich areas such as the Aruba Dam, Kanderi Swamp, and the expansive plains where elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, and a variety of bird species can be spotted. At around 13:00hrs, you will stop at a designated safe picnic site within the park to enjoy your boxed lunch while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. After lunch, you will continue with afternoon game viewing until 16:30hrs, gradually making your way back to the lodge. You will arrive at around 18:00hrs, with time to relax before enjoying dinner and overnight at the lodge.
You will begin the day with an early morning game drive at 06:30hrs, searching for any wildlife you may have missed. After the drive, you will return to the lodge at around 08:30hrs for breakfast—or enjoy a packed breakfast depending on your schedule. After checking out at 10:00hrs, you will start your journey back to Mombasa. You will arrive in Mombasa between 14:00hrs–15:00hrs, depending on traffic and drop-off location, and be taken to your hotel or the airport—marking the end of your Tsavo East safari.
