Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi into the Great Rift Valley, leading you to an active morning of game viewing, cycling, or nature walks among Hell’s Gate’s dramatic cliffs and volcanic landscapes. You will then unwind at the soothing Olkaria Geothermal Spa before heading to Lake Naivasha for a relaxing boat ride and an unforgettable walking safari at Crescent Island, where wildlife roam freely in a serene lakeside setting.
The adventure continues as you travel to the iconic Maasai Mara National Reserve, home to the Big Five and the famous Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy spectacular game drives across golden savannah plains, spotting lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and numerous bird species in their natural habitat. A full-day exploration of the Mara allows deep immersion into one of Africa’s richest wildlife ecosystems, with an optional sunrise hot-air balloon safari offering a breathtaking aerial perspective. The safari concludes with a relaxed return to Nairobi, carrying unforgettable memories of Kenya’s most celebrated parks.

Your Scenery Adventures driver-guide will meet you at your Nairobi pickup point at 05:45hrs. After a short briefing, depart Nairobi at 06:00hrs for the 2-hour scenic drive to Naivasha, enjoying beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Hell’s Gate National Park at approximately 08:00hrs, the perfect time for an active morning in the park. Enjoy an en-route game drive and an optional nature walk or bicycle ride between the towering cliffs and volcanic formations. Capture amazing sightings of buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elands, gazelles, and a variety of bird species. Continue to the Olkaria Geothermal Spa, one of Africa’s largest natural geothermal lagoons. Relax and soak in the naturally warm, sulphur-rich waters known for their healing and muscle-relaxation benefits. At 12:30hrs, exit the park and drive to your lodge for check-in, followed by lunch and relaxation. At 14:30hrs, proceed to Lake Naivasha for a scenic boat ride across the calm waters, with views of hippos, birdlife, and stunning lake vistas. Disembark at Crescent Island Sanctuary for a guided nature walk among freely roaming wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, waterbucks, gazelles, and ostriches. Return to your lodge in the early evening for dinner and overnight. .
After an early breakfast, depart Naivasha at 07:00hrs and begin your scenic drive southwest toward the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Pass through the vibrant Maasai town of Narok before entering the expansive golden plains of the Mara. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch. Check in and enjoy some time to rest before your first exciting afternoon game drive in the reserve. Explore the iconic savannah as lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and numerous other wildlife roam freely across the sweeping plains. Return to your camp/lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.
Early morning balloon safari is available as an option at USD 450 per person. The Balloon launches at 0600hrs and takes one hour. On landing you will be welcomed with a champagne bush breakfast. Full day game viewing whereby you leave the camp after breakfast with picnic lunch. The Mara is the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara’s birds, occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park – Morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day. Dinner and overnight at the camp/Lodge.
This last day you will have breakfast, relax at the hotel as you prepare to check out of the camp by 10:00hrs and depart for Nairobi. A stopover is provided at Narok Town to browse in the bustling, vibrant Masai markets to buy curios, handicrafts and also have Lunch at Narok. On arrival in Nairobi drop off at hotel or the airport for onward flight.
