Escape to Kenya’s Great Rift Valley with this 3 Days Lake Naivasha Safari Adventure — the perfect mix of wildlife, scenery, and outdoor thrills. Just a short drive from Nairobi, Lake Naivasha offers boat rides with hippos, crocodiles, and fish eagles, followed by a unique walking safari on Crescent Island among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a predator-free haven.
The adventure continues at Hell’s Gate National Park, where cycling and hiking through dramatic cliffs, gorges, and towers create an unforgettable connection with nature. Evenings are spent in handpicked lodges and camps, where comfort meets lakeside serenity.
Ideal for families, couples, or groups, this Naivasha safari is a quick getaway packed with experiences that feel both close to home and worlds away.
Your adventure begins in Nairobi - and from the very first mile, it’s a story to capture. Set your cameras ready as we drive through changing landscapes, with a stop at the famous Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Here, the valley stretches endlessly, a dramatic formation that runs from Northern to Southern Africa, and you’ll want to frame every angle. On arrival in Naivasha, prepare for one of the most unique experiences of the trip: a guided horse ride within a private sanctuary right at the lake’s edge. The scenery and wildlife are irresistible. From there, glide into the waters of Lake Naivasha on a boat safari. This freshwater lake is alive with action: pods of hippos marking their territories, crocodiles resting at the shores, and fish eagles high above, waiting for the perfect dive. Every moment feels like a snapshot waiting to happen. The boat is also your gateway to Crescent Island, where you step into a different world. Here, you’ll walk freely among zebras, giraffes, and antelopes - an open-air safari on foot, in a safe, predator-free environment. By evening, you’ll return to the mainland for check-in at your lodge, ending the day with a relaxed dinner as the Rift Valley sunset paints the skies.
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before setting off for Hell’s Gate National Park. From its name alone, curiosity rises and once inside, the dramatic cliffs, gorges, and towering rock formations explain why this landscape is so iconic. Hell’s Gate has even starred on the big screen, serving as the inspiration for Disney’s The Lion King (1994), and featured in several international documentaries and adventure films. The park can be explored on foot, by vehicle, or most famously by cycling, which we highly recommend for the best experience. Pedal through striking scenery, passing landmarks such as Fischer’s Tower and Central Tower, while keeping your camera ready for grazing antelopes, zebras, and unique birdlife along the way. Walk through the narrow gorges, where the canyon walls echo with every sound, creating an atmosphere that feels almost otherworldly. For the adventurous, guided rock climbing at the towers is also available on request. After the exploration, proceed to the Olkaria Geothermal Spa, located within Kenya’s largest geothermal power station and one of Africa’s largest geothermal fields. Here, guests enjoy a freshly prepared lunch before unwinding in the naturally heated pools, where mineral-rich warm waters create a soothing and rejuvenating experience, perfectly blending your adventure with relaxation.
After an early breakfast, we depart Naivasha and head back to Nairobi, but the adventure isn’t over yet. Today is about unique encounters and flavors you won’t find anywhere else. First stop is the Giraffe Centre, where you’ll meet the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes up close. Guests can hand-feed these gentle giants, capturing rare moments that feel like a personal connection with Kenya’s wildlife. To crown your safari, enjoy lunch at the world-famous Carnivore Restaurant, celebrated as Africa’s ultimate dining experience. Here, you’ll be served a sizzling array of roasted meats, from tender beef, lamb, chicken, and pork to adventurous tastes like ostrich and crocodile, all carved at your table. A variety of side dishes, fresh salads, and sauces accompany the feast, creating a true culinary journey With hearts (and cameras) full of memories, we ensure timely drop-off in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and yes, your flight ticket is always double-checked.

Lake Naivasha and Hell’s Gate can be visited year-round, but the best time is during the dry seasons: from January to March and July to October. During these months, the weather is warm and pleasant, roads and trails are easier to access, and outdoor activities such as horse riding, cycling, and walking safaris are more comfortable.
